Training and Workshops

We have a wealth of experience in working with individuals and teams at all levels and truly understand the links between central government policy and local delivery, and the problems that can arise in designing and delivering transformational programmes in challenging circumstances.

We provide general workshops and seminars both independently and in conjunction with Regional Efficiency and Improvement Partnerships (RIEPs) and the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU).

Any of our workshops can be tailored for delivery to single organisations and we specialise in designing bespoke development packages tailored to fit demanding rerquirements.

Transformation and Efficiency Support

We pride ourselves in our ability to work effectively at all levels by understanding the delivery issues faced and creating the capacity and capability needed to deliver innocative solutions. We can help:

with 'blue sky thinking' at senior management level, tying internal and external drivers to effective progammes of development
elected members to better understand their role in modern local government
service directors who are looking for proven ways in which they can improve service delivery whilst reducing costs
operational staff to develop better customer focus and see their importance in effective service delivery

All of our work is based on what we know from experience and best practice examples from other local authorities and public sector organisations.

Conference and Workshop Facilitation

In demand as a keynote speaker Colin Whitehouse has presented alongside ministers and Prime Ministers at international conferences in Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Finland, Denmark and Ireland and worked with the governments of Lesotho and Macedonia on their modernisation programmes.

Recently he has given chaired and given keynote presentations on organisational transformation at the UK Government IT Summit, eGovernment Summit, IT Futures Conference and the Merseyside Community Leaders Conference, and has broadcast experience with the internet based Government TV.

His expertise is not however confined to the public sector and he is in demand as a conference designer, chair and facilitator for private sector companies such as LloydsTSB, Apex, RSLive, Proactis, OB10, Revolution and NQ Consulting. He has also designed and facilitated management development and visioning events for corporate and public sector clients, large and small.

His work often involves managing events and workshops with challenging agendas and topics where a flexible and adaptable approach is vital in ensuring that fundamental issues are exposed and debated.
